Picnic & Stories at Woodlake Park

With another great sunny day for the second Mayors Wellness Campaign event for May 2021, families with children gathered at Woodlake Park for a healthy outdoor picnic event and a bonus of plenty of books and stories!

There were books for a wide range of youngsters... from very young... 

plus plenty for young adult readers... 

Older children and adults volunteered to read to the younger ones.  

Every child got to take home plenty of books to keep, thanks to many generous residents who dropped off new and/or gently-used books at the special book drop box on the side of the Municipal Building. 

Special thanks for a sizeable donation collected by the Edgewater Park Woman's Club, with club president Sharon D'Errico seen here delivering the books to Mayor DiFilippo at the Municipal Building before the event!
