PLEASE REVIEW THIS UPDATE TO THE FIREWORKS POSSESSION AND USE LAWS IN NJ!!!  The previous post did not have the correct information concerning N.J. State Law!  Review this updated post!!!

This is a notification to all residents and visitors to Edgewater Park during the 4th of July holiday and anytime.  Although certain low yield sparklers are now LEGAL in N.J., this DOES NOT GIVE RESIDENTS THE AUTHORITY TO POSSESS OR LAUNCH BOTTLE ROCKETS OR OTHER ROCKET FIREWORKS.  ALL FIRE CRACKERS ALSO REMAIN ILLEGAL, SO DO NOT GET CAUGHT WITH THEM OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED!!  

Launching fireworks in residential areas exposes homes and property to extreme fire dangers due to falling hot discharge embers.  The Police Department will be watching for these discharges and will charge residents with Criminal Offenses for using illegal fireworks, or other fireworks in a dangerous manner!
