10/16/2018 - Hiring: Part-Time Police Officer and Temporary Full Time Officer
The Edgewater Park Police Department is actively seeking to hire a qualified Special Law Enforcement Officer II (SLEO II) or retired officer that is qualified to fill an available part-time SLEO II position. The position works up to 28 hours per week.

In addition, the Edgewater Park Township Police Department is actively seeking to hire a Qualified Special Law Enforcement Officer II (SLEO II) or an officer with a Full Time Certification (Basic Course for Police Officers) to start employment as soon as possible and work for the year 2019, full time. This position will be a temporary, one year, position to cover an open shift for an officer on military leave. Upon return of that military leave officer, the position will be eliminated and the officer would remain as part-time. This may be a good opportunity for an Alternate Route Officer to get street experience. The position does include health care for this year time period.

Applicants must possess qualifications that are recognized by the New Jersey Training Commission (SLEO II Course or Basic Course for Police Officers) and live in, or close to, Burlington County.

The main function of these positions will be to assist with patrol duties, administrative assignments and work during community functions or critical incidents. The applicant must also be available to attend mandatory firearms qualifications, mandatory in-service training and other police training.

Applications are available at the police department during normal business hours (M-TH 8:30am to 4:30pm).

Applications must be returned by November 12th, 2018 to:
