Hello Everyone,
I wanted to, again, urge every resident/household of Edgewater Park Township to join the NIXLE Notification Network for our Township. The Police Department and Township will continue to use this network as a way to communicate to our residents for Emergencies, Weather Notifications, Traffic Issues, Road Closures/Road Work, Community Events, and any other important notifications to be made.
Recently, I have used the NIXLE System to notify residents of upcoming Winter Weather Alerts and of impending road work starting in the Blossom Rd/North and South Garden areas. Although I put out notifications on the Police Facebook and Township Websites, this is the best and fastest way that I can get important messages to the public. I can send a NIXLE Alert to residents at any time from anywhere! I have the system set not to put out Weather Emergency notifications between 11pm and 7am as residents were not happy receiving multiple notifications over night. I also make every effort to post school closings or late openings as I confer with the School Superintendent to determine the necessity for same.
Please take the time to read the post below and get yourself on the NIXLE System so you can stay informed. Please also tell your friends and neighbors. My goal is to have every home in the Township NIXLE ready!
Thank you all and be safe over the weekend with the incoming cold weather! Please check on neighbors and loved ones!

2. Go to www.edgewaterpark-nj.com and sign up via the Nixle Widget (Look for it at the bottom right side of the Home page.)
Once registered, residents will receive a confirmation text to their mobile device. Residents may also customize their alert settings by going to www.nixle.com and creating a User Profile.
“This is an opportunity for residents to receive notifications of town events, meetings, emergency information, special information, traffic delays, and general, non-emergency, information on their cellular phones or emails. This information is essential to residents of Edgewater Park and this system is one of the few ways we have of giving out important information to residents in a timely manner. Please make every effort to join!”;
