Police Chief Brett V. Evans
Edgewater Park Township Police Chief Brett V. Evans grew up in Florence Township. He moved to Edgewater Park Township in 1992. Chief Evans graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1989 and graduated from the Burlington County Police Academy in 1996 with Class #70.
Chief Evans joined the Edgewater Park Township Police Department in September 1995 as a Class II Special Officer until being brought on full-time as a Patrolman in December 1995.
Chief Evans was promoted to Investigator in 2003, Sergeant in 2004, Lieutenant in 2014, and then Chief on April 5, 2022.
Chief Evans is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2, the Burlington County Internal Affairs Association, the Burlington County Chiefs of Police Association, the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, and the International Chiefs of Police Association.
As Township Committeeman Mike Trainer swears in Lt. Brett V. Evans as Edgewater Park's new Chief of Police, the Chief's wife Jennifer and older son Brendan hold the Bible. Chief Evans also has a daughter Casey and younger son Owen.
