BWC'S

On June 1st, 2021, a new NJ Attorney General Directive went into effect updating the regulations regarding the use of Body Worn Cameras (BWC's) by police in New Jersey.  The Edgewater Park Township Police Department has been utilizing BWC's since 2015.

Please be advised that if you have an encounter with a police officer, it will be video- and audio-recorded, with very few exceptions.

The attached photographs show the BWC up close and the most common placement of the BWC on an officer.
